Re: 65 front window trim removal

hello if the rubber is old I would just cut the rubber to remove it without damage. i have cut them from the inside, afterwards the w/s pops out easily with the trim that's fits in a channel in the rubber. good luck.

Re: 65 front window trim removal

as they said just cut the rubber... even if you have a new gasket, it is better to waste the $40 gasket than risk breaking the windshield and/ or bending the trim.

the shop manual says to peel the gasket off the windshield frame from the inside while pushing out on the windshield. the gasket and windshield and trim will come out as a unit.
( I tried this once and wasted a good windshield)
IF you can get the gasket and windshield out of the truck, then you pull the gasket off the windshield, and then peel the trim out of the rubber.
