1970 panel
I was wondering if I can get some opinions on how much this panel is worth. Its pretty much all original except being painted. I want to buy it but need an idea on a fair price so I don't overpay too much. I tried to put pictures on here but apparently that require skills I don't poses. Anyway if anyone could help I would appreciate it.

What motor/transmission any rust issues clean title any prior accident damage how's the interior (complete/original?) It can be worth a couple grand to 10-15k to the right buyer...

Re: 1970 panel
The interior is all original except a CD player was installed and it only has two front seats. No accidents, no rust and clean title 350/350.

That truck is cool. Without any more details than you already gave and without seeing it upclose and personal I would say $6000.00. If it is mint with low miles than probably alot more.

Re: 1970 panel
It has probably500,000 miles at least on it. It's been driven almost everyday since 1970. It has an aftermarke AC. I figured it would have a broad price range but the guy is asking $16,000 for it and I can't find anything that justifies that price. I figured $10,000 tops. They are so rare it's hard to compare with anything.

Re: 1970 panel
If it's VERY clean and in good shape, no damage, fresh/strong motor and trans, and NO RUST. $16k is a fair price. Yes it is rare, and to the right buyer it's worth every penny of that. If you're interested in it, throw a 10k offer at him and see where it goes. If he wants the 16k, he might get it one day, but it's going to be a tough sell.

Re: 1970 panel
My grandad bought it new in 70. When he passed my dad got it in 80. I was supposed to get it in 96 when I turned 16 but my dad sold it for $4300 to a guy and it about killed me. A few years ago I tracked the guy down and he still has it. He told me then he wasn't ready to sell but he would let me know. About a week ago he informed me he was ready and said comparable ones were going for $16,000-$18,000. I have no problem paying that but I can't find anything to support that. I have found some burbs with frame off restos on them with brand new cherry motors, badass paint, and awesome new interior for that price and the panel isnt even close to that clean. It still has the original brakes and suspension and that equals a lot of worn out parts to me that all need to be replaced and upgraded. I just want my panel back but don't want to way overpay because he knows the history. Like I said he bought it for $4300 in 96. Could it really increase in value 4x with no significant upgrades in that amount of time.

Re: 1970 panel
problem is he's emotionally invested into this one. I would talk to the guy straight up, tell him I know what you paid for it, and offer him a fair price a few grand more than what he paid and see if he bites.

Re: 1970 panel
Yeah-he's playing you. Rare doesn't equal expensive (from this board). I want alot of things back-mostly all the money my ex took to her boyfriends house. But I aint gettin it. Maybe you should keep looking at other rides. I know it sux but you can get a real cherry ride for 16G's. Loud stereo reliable engine and upgraded brakes too.

Re: 1970 panel
Offer him $10K. Don't over pay, you will never get it back. At the same time....hard to put a price on memories. You have a tough decision to make. It looks pretty solid and the aftermarket AC adds some value. Good luck!!!!
