exhaust question

Well, my exhaust has some pinholes in it and a cracked muffler. It is time to replace the old rusty ones with some new ones. I have a 70 k20. I would like to run 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch pipes. What mufflers and pipe diameter should I get to get a sort of stock sound? By that I mean what will give me a nice sound with out having to wear ear plugs. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
