Re: looking for a "friend" in Kansasville, Wisconsin,
yes. 69 panel truck. Doing the frame work now. Engine is on a stand, waiting. 572(not GM crate). Need to shave as much weight as I can! Glass nose and doors are on the list of needs.

Re: looking for a "friend" in Kansasville, Wisconsin,
Not trying to be a smarta$$ but if your looking to get light why do a panel? Do picking really I just had the same asked hundreds of times about my Chevelle that was 3860# with me in it. i know a lot of times it is in what you have when the bug bites or something from long ago that sparks something special but that thing has got to be pretty hefty. Good luck on the build.

Re: looking for a "friend" in Kansasville, Wisconsin,
Actually. My wife picked out. Just to be different. It's going to be a street truck, but I am hoping for mid to high 9's from it. The bare body doesn't weigh much more than my all steel 64 lemans did.once gutted, there is nothing to it. The wood rear floor has to come out. I'll replace it with aluminum.

Re: looking for a "friend" in Kansasville, Wisconsin,
I'm nowhere near Kansasville, WI, but I am in Kansas. Here's another one -- looks to be identical. He's asking $200 less and might be willing to crate it up for you.
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/4760667112.html Good luck.

Yeah. I've seen it. Deep in the chassis now. But sometimes you gotta grab a bargain while you can. The other guy emailed me back. Fingers crossed. Maybe we can stricken a deal.

Re: looking for a "friend" in Kansasville, Wisconsin,
Street weight and race weight are two totally different animals ! You may want to find out why there are two for sale that are new out of the box ? just because it's fiberglass does not mean it weighs considerably less than stock sheet metal !
