Picked Up a K5
Just bought a 1986 K5 Silverado edition. Great condition, rust in normal places but minimum. Only thing changed out was a Edelbrock intake and carb, addition of 30s on stock rims. Back window was unbolted but that has been repaired and rolls up and down on it's own. Current work is rebuilding the 700R4 tranny.

Re: Picked Up a K5
Plans right now are to get her on the road. Then in spring I'll begin the body work and prep to paint her in a two tone copper metallic and white pearl scheme.

Re: Picked Up a K5
UPDATE: After torching the 700R4 and finding a fresh rebuilt one on CL finally on the road. Stripped interior to get a peak of areas needing repair. I will be starting with the front as soon as the rain stops. Best thing though is with all this rain I can find the leaks. I have replaced the cab and top front seals, one quarter window seal and the top to bed side seals. Pics are of the floor and side sections of passenger compartments.
