Center Console pics
Title pretty much says it all. i know i want a center console, ill probably make one. What are you guys using for center consoles. Post em up! include how you got it, or made it and why you did it! Edit: i'm building one for cupholders, head unit, amps, possible subs, small lockbox at bottom for future handgun storage (Only wanna have to do this once ) and window and lock switches. probably gonna run custom door panels and a radio delete plate/60-63 dash.

Re: Center Console pics
Here's the one I built that's almost finished. The angled plate just under the dash is removable so I can change the layout of my Switch Panel, GPS or anything else I want to put there. If I get tired of it I can just fab up a new plate and change it. I also have 3 terminal blocks with 6 terminals each mounted under the Shifter Cover. One is switched power, one is direct to the battery and the third is for ground. The whole console is 12" wide.

Re: Center Console pics
I made a stretched cloth/resin style. Made a matching speaker panel for behind my seats the same way. Lots of pics on my build thread on page 3. Configuration is limitless with this method. I wanted to use an aftermarket shifter.. and not use the black cover that comes with them. I have cup holders and a set of tweeters up front.

Re: Center Console pics
OrangeSunshine the 2 handles in the console are an ORD twin stick setup for the NP205 Transfer Case. I made them out of some 1-1/4" steel round bar. I wanted pistol grip shifters but nobody made them for 1/2"-13 thread.

Re: Center Console pics
Mine isn't done yet but it's getting close. I had new carpet installed and so I moved the gear shifter and having a 72 center console refrubished.

The ones in the console are 1-1/4" solid roundbar that I made and they are on the ORD NP205 Twin Stick shifters

Re: Center Console pics
Here's the finished product with the Pioneer AVIC 6000 NEX mounted in the console and the kill switch where the old volume knob used to be. The only thing I need to do is put the front cover on the passenger side of the console

Re: Center Console pics
Not the best pic, but you get the idea. Came from a F-150. Seats from a Dodge Intrepid. I know, it's a grab bag but it is just temporary.
