scored some free parts today
was at a friends house today and he has a 68 GMC that had been wrecked and is going to the crusher next week so he told me that i could all the salvagable parts off of it until it goes, so today i went and got the dash components and that is about all that is any good left on the truck because it was rolled 4 times and then hit on the passenger side.
but i was wondering what is the best way to clean up the chrome around the dash bezel

A wet rag.
Most likely the plastic chrome has worn off. You can have it redone at places like Just Dashes, but it would be cheaper to get a new one. If you keep an eye open, some of the vendors have sales on these for 25 bucks. (I've bought 3 at this price to date) You could also paint all the 'chrome' silver, but it kinda looks nasty after a while. I was going to leave my worn chrome alone since I am sick of looking at the silver paint on the GMC's wonr inst panel. (that's about the time I saw the panelsa on sale again and snagged one up) |

Rick, I think it was you that I bought from all 3 times. But I thoguht it was a sale.
Oh well either way. If is a pretty good fitting piece, and helps a butt load with the apearance of the dashboard. |

I bought a $25 one from rick's also....defiently worth the money. It really improved the look of my interior compared to my painted cracking stock bezel.
