Welder/Torches FS
Hey guys i decided to try and sell my welder and torches b/c i need money to get the truck painted. The welder is a Lincoln Electric WeldPak 100 HD.
http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...eet.asp?p=7106 Also, i bought the mig conversion kit for it http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...eet.asp?p=7115 ive got close to 700 bucks in the welder/mig kit but would take 500 canadian for it, the welder was used once just so i knew i had it all set up correct. it has a self shielding wire on it now but i have a big spool of .030 mig wire that would work fine if you hooked a bottle to it. Also if anyone is interested ive got a brand new set of Cutting Torches. the kit includes a cutting torch, a braising torch, 12.5 feet of hose, oxygen and acyetelyne regulators, striker and goggles. this whole kit is still in the box, i paid 300+ canadian for it but would take 200. any questions shoot me a pm. also i dont want to ship the welder, torches i would but they are pretty heavy

You need to keep the welder as I sure you could find someone who needs patch panels or whatever welded in. I have been welding for 25 yrs and I make 100-300 every week on the side welding on hitches and fixing all kinds of stuff. Think about it as everyone has said tools are the only thing that have the capabilities to return the investment. The paint will still be there when your ready to go for it.

welder
Derek, A couple of years ago I was in your same predicament. I was out of work for 18 months and I sold a lot of my equipment to pay bills and survive. I use to own a "hobby shop" where I did all of my own (with the help of some friends) work on my pickups. I did most everything except paint and that we rented a paint booth for a day. I ended up having to sell my 4 post hoist, mig welder, torch, dent puller, 5 hp air compresser, a couple of pickups, and the list goes on. I bought all the stuff so I could teach myself how to do a lot of the work and for the most part it worked. My situation is different now and I can afford to work on my projects again. If it helps you out I'll buy your stuff and you can buy them back (less use and depreciation) when your situation is better. Let me know and I'll make arrangments for pickup and payment.

Wow!! just another example of board members being stand up guys and helping out a fellow enthusiast. Makes me proud to know you Bernie, and to consider you a friend.
Derek, if I was in your situation I would do the same thing. Sell off whatever you could to get your project finished faster. To bad I have nothing to sell

Man I wish I had $500 to spare right now; I say every year I'm going to get a welding setup and I never do....rrrgghhh. Sorry that doesn't help (especially with me being greedy when everybody else is trying to help out)
Greg
