Evenin' all!

Picked-up a "new to me" truck the day after Christmas, Regular Cab '97 C2500, 350 Vortec, 4L80E and 3.73 rear axle. I was pretty much looking for a base-model 2WD truck, when I found this, manual windows and door locks, AM/FM Cassette, cruise. Figures less there is, less there is to break

Seat cover (cloth) slightly worn on the drivers corner, just enough to require hiding with a seat cover. One of these days maybe a nice 60/40 will replace it.

Bought it to pull my 22.5' Deck Boat I'll be using for Crappie Fishing whenever I can afford to finish it. Hull and Deck are done, "just" needs re-powered, trolling motor, and electronics ("just"...LOL!)

I MS Painted a bit of graphics on it for a buddy of mine who told me, in so many words, that I can be a bit "abrasive"

Pics are still some of the mock-up phase, but you get the general idea.

Enough about that. After the truck purchase, I started cruising the forums for a place to land, and after a few days of that, looked like this was the best spot to do just that.

That said, even though I'd always loved/owned/worked on "older vehicles (since I'm pushing 60 y/o), and Chevy was usually my choice. I did buy 3 new mid/late 90's vehicles, a '95 Chevy 1500 Van (for work), then a '97 2wd Silverado which I lowered 4", shaved, and added Cadillac tail lights and cowl hood, the a '98 GMC 2500 4wd with factory prep snow plow, which is what it was used for along with the regular work. I maintained them, but never had to preform any troubleshooting, or actual "work" on them to speak of.

Point being, Older stuff (LOL, carbs, and points) no problem. Today's technology? Not so much...point is, probably gonna have lots of questions as I'm getting ready to tackle a couple issues (will post in the appropriate forum) on the truck.

OK, rambled long enough....glad to be here, looking forward to it!
