new wheels?
I've been giving thought to buying a couple of new rally wheels. I checked Summit first for the Wheel Vintiques series 42, that's the truck rally.
The only 15x8" they list is for a 5x5 1/2" bolt pattern. No 5x5 listed. Then I checked Jeg's. They list one 15x8" with 5x5 pattern but it's $164 each . It's actually higher than their 10" wheel at $146 each. Is there a better source for new rally wheels ?

Re: new wheels?
Why not buy used truck rally wheels?

Re: new wheels?
Wheels can be most expensive and then you have to add tires!

Re: new wheels?
Well I already have a complete set of used rallys, blasted and painted and installed. I want to pick up two more. I have something working and thought I'd save some work and cost by purchasing 2 new ones is all.
Wheel V's prices have gone up haven't they? Thanks for the CL list ad. Albion is right up the road from me but I only want 2 right now. I might call him though.

Re: new wheels?
Boog, there's a tire shop here in Harrison that has a ton of used rally's. Do you want me to check on a pair? I gave $20 each for a set last week.

Re: new wheels?
Larry $20 per is real reasonable. I'm in no hurry but if you happen by there and think about it see if they have 2 nice 8" wide 5 hole truck rallys. That might just be the ticket. I appreciate you.

Re: new wheels?
That's a great find. They just didnt' know what they had or didn't care. $7 for all wheels, no matter. ? Wow.
I think Pick a Part yards are that way aren't they?

Re: new wheels?
Look up "The Whhel Smith". They have a oem, vintage, modern, all kinds. They make them whatever you want for a reasonable price.

Re: new wheels?
I did look them up and they show a car type rally but no truck rallys or truck rally accessories. Thanks though.

Re: new wheels?
Boog, you will have two 15X8, 5on5 wheels at the Pangburn water treatment plant tomorrow afternoon. If you can have somebody pick them up when up that way, no hurry.
You said nice. These ain't Purdy, but are straight, all the ones I have bought the last few years had to be blasted and painted anyway, and the wheels look good. Larry

Re: new wheels?
As another option, I used Wheel Vintique's Rallye wheels but the 16x8's for the rear and 16x7's for the front. The main reason I went to 16's is to improve my tire selection over the 15's.
