Axle rating

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the axle rating is on a 14-bolt rear end (it's not the full floater).

I'm looking to buy new leaf spring bushings, and the parts are different for 1700 to 2800 lbs. axle rating vs. 2600 to 3500 lbs. axle rating.

Thanks.

Re: Axle rating

I'd look at GAWR on your truck, it should mention it.

Re: Axle rating

I swamped in a 14sf into my truck, and everything bolted up fine. The leaf springs are a seven leaf pack, and ride fair enough for a 3/4 ton truck. So far the most the truck has had in the back is around 2000 pounds of FE 390's. Dropped a couple of inches but did fine on a 30 mile trip at 70mph.
