71-72 front bumper on a 70?

How hard? What does it take to do it?

Thanks Rudy

Not hard- I think the 71-72 outer braces are different. If you keep the 70 grill you will have 2 sets of turn signals

Yes you will need the 71/72 outer bumper brackets, but the inner brackets are the same.

You mean something like this?
It wasn't hard. If I remember correctly 71-72, 4x4 front bumper braces are a little more difficult to find but I eventually found a set. I no longer remember if 2wd and 4wd, 71-72 front braces are the same or different.

Re: 71-72 front bumper on a 70?

As mentioned above You can swap 67/70 bumpers with 71/72 as long as you use the corresponding brackets. I have a 70 with 71/72 grill and bumper as i bought it wrecked and had the parts already.

On a side note I have contemplated installing a 67-70 bumper on a 71/72 and usin the street rod style headlights that have the integral turn signal.
