What color Green is my 68 GMC?
Ive been searching this site and links to paint supply companies to try to find a match for my 68 GMC. The glove box sticker has been removed prior to my ownership. It looks close to the early fifties suburbans I saw on Barrett Jackson but this truck is in its original paint. Crayon on the firewall and floor appear all original. Forest Service? Check out the pics.

do a search on the forum for "503 green" and you'll find some posts with references to where you can find matching paint.

I just painted mine with the Ditzler 503 code paint and it looks like the same color to me. I used enamel paint , 300 bucks for enough to paint inside and out, with a white top.

Back when that truck was built you could pretty much order whatever you wanted if you were willing to wait. Fleet trucks were commonly painted to specs. Now most fleets just get white and do a wrap.

That's Pissfir Willy/Dept. of the Interior/NPS Green. I remember the '60s and '70s 4wds with wide wheels & tires at Hatteras when I was young. Then, the trips out west
