useless tie down hooks in c20 bed
Any suggestions for better tie down hooks in my c20. Something with a closed loop. See pic.

Take it off weld a bar across it, paint it and you now have a closed loop. Bolts right back in.

I'm looking at retractable boat cleats. There are some very cool ones that could be counter sunk flush into a wooden bed.

I used eye bolts sideways into the stake pockets, painted to match the bed.

Thanks for all the ideas. I think I like the eye bolt. Also, I think a u bolt would be even stronger because it would bolt in two places.

Re: useless tie down hooks in c20 bed
I used big fold up hooks mounted to the bed floor then cut my .75" thick rubber bed liner around them so they're flush. They're on the floor but I've never had a prob using them and I don't scratch the paint on the top lip of the bed sides.

Sounds like a good idea. Basically, like what you would find on the floor of a trailer. |
