brand new 2008 5.3l on San Francisco craigslist

Saw this today, little out of my price range, but a new engine in the crate is pretty nice...

Welding is a lot like sex, you don't have to be great with the rod as long as you thoroughly prep the surface and your good at grinding
My build : 68 C10 Short Bed Conversion

Re: brand new 2008 5.3l on San Francisco craigslist

From what I hear around the salvage auctions the 07-08's are higher [used] because they have a tendency for the rollers to turn wiping out the cam and ruining the bottom end. Just what I have heard that is all I'm passing on some knowledge that I have gained from someone else. The roller holders were plastic for those two model years from what I understand.I think it was fixed for the 09 model year.
