Front coil spring side up

Hi, I just installed 2" lowering springs on my 69 c10, after lowering, the right side is a good inch higher. I thought maybe I put the spring in upsdue down since the Belltech lettering on the spring was upside down. So I just flipped and put it down again and still an inch taller
Looking at the spring it looks like one end is a bit smaller (tighter coil) than then the other. Mt question is: Which end goes up top, and should the spring have different ends?

Yes the springs in the lower notch just fine, confused.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
clay

Re: Front coil spring side up

Pigtail goes up, and there's a metal flange/cup in the upper spring mount that the spring wraps around. Look up inside your crossmember and you'll see what I mean...
