Just location of the holes, if I recall correctly, for the 4x4 SM465 and TH350. If you are going to a 700R then you will have to move the mounts either way. This is assuming you are using the NP205. I have a 700R that I am working on right now that adapts to the factory 10 spline NP205. It uses a tail shaft from Advance Adapters and the TH350 to NP205 adapter.

Re: 72 k20 4 speed to 700r4

I just went the opposite direction, 700r4 to sm465. depending on the adapter used the tranny cross member will have a hump in the middle or be flat across. if you use the th350 adapter they should be all flat and the cross member will be the same, just drill some new holes in the frame.

Re: 72 c20 4 speed to 700r4

Not just relocating the holes. My truck came with a 350 and a 4speed with a 203 transfer case I beleave and I'm going to a 383 with 700r4 and 205. I just boxed the frame in yesterday for the most
