1970 4x4 Suburban What's it Worth?
Looking at maybe picking up a 1970 Suburban. The truck is 4x4, has a rebuilt 350, and it's a 3/4 ton. I don't know too much about these models but the guy is asking 7500 and that sounds high to me. I'm curious to hear what you guys think.

Looks like a nice rig...tow hooks too. If there is "no rust" as stated the price is not too far off for your area IMO.

Does he have the inner fender wells still sitting around? Burbs are a hard sell. One like that could sit out this way for a couple years at that price. Not sure how big the burb market is out your way, but I'd say it's closer to a $5g rig. Has rust in various places, enough to take a real good look at it top to bottom and check for bondo etc. Does it have a complete interior? I see it's new buckets up front.

Inner fenders are sitting in the back of the truck. I'm sure there's rust and Bondo to be found. I will definitely bring a magnet when I go to look at it.

Take a piece of cardboard big enough that you can lay on it and slide underneath the truck. Also take a GOOD flashlight so you can check out the body mounts, bottom of the spare tire tub, gas tank, inner rocker panels, and bottom of the front floor boards. Does he have the accelerator pedal? Makes me wonder what else is missing or not installed.... I think it's a little high too. LockDoc
