MD fleetside tailgate

Sold Sold Sold *****Deal pending 8/11/15 - I had two to choose from and am keeping the other one. This tailgate was purchased NOS (I believe but it could have been repop) in 1985 (Pre China?). It was used and abused but not that much. It has been sand blasted and I put a coat of SPI Epoxy primer on it to keep the rust from happening. It does have some small dings and some pitting from rust that was as I said sandblasted away. $200 you arrange any shipping. I am in Southern Maryland 20685 and will transport within 20 mile radius.

We did check shipping and it is pretty ugly. No Greyhound nearby and freight haulers are up toward Baltimore. FedX Freight etc looks like over $400 to west coast

Shipping will be an issue in the future also because I also have three doors, two fenders a a bunch of other big stuff I plan to unload.

Shipped a few gates before. UPS regular size limit is 130" total (width x 2, height x 2, length x 1), any larger and it goes freight. A box or crate 24" x 6" x 69" is right under that limit and fits a gate fine. Any UPS store can handle it, or they can even pick it up at your door for a small charge. Hope this helps.

Yep I can see that now. About $88 in shipping and what ever the stores charge for boxing to go UPS Ground. If someone wants it I will give them the phone number of the package shipping store and they can make arrangements. I would drop it off but I definitely do not want to be involved in the shipping arrangements. Thanks for the info it may help someone who wants to make the decision.

The tailgate is clean enough that I am not really interested in lowering I think it is well worth the money in that they go new for more than twice the price. It has already been sandblasted and primed and is ready for a little body work and paint. You are welcome to come inspect and let me know. I do have a couple of other guys asking questions about it.

Funny you should ask about fenders etc. Just this morning I have pulled out the fenders and doors to take pictures for selling. . The fenders both have some issues in the back part but there are patch panels available. The doors generally have some rust but I do not feel in any case that they would need reskinned. I have three doors -two right one left. Again you are welcome to come look.I have some other things like engine parts (Chev 350), a long block 350, a turbo 350C trans, a steering column, two rear fender wells, etc.
