Have you upgraded your alternator yet? A higher output alternator and a new wiring harness does wonders with halogen bulbs.

Other than that. Here are a couple options:

Not really an upgrade, but I went with the tri-bar headlights for a different look vs your typical seven inch headlight.

I like those lights that have led strips in them. I just don't know if they last long

Re: 1972 C10 Headlights

Check out this thread. I had the harness on my last truck and just ordered one of these. If you had one of these harnesses on and a set of headlights with Silver Star bulbs in them that should be all the headlight you need for a regular use truck.

Here's a link to a write up I did last year, using Hella lenses and Xenon bulbs. Amazing difference and have been very pleased.

Re: 1972 C10 Headlights

I have the Hellas and they are awesome. Interent says the Cibie is better, but I'm not one to say. Get the Hellas for $35 each on Amazon. The Cibie is $45.

(I have one H4 Hella and one Cibie that came on my 240Z. Planning on buying one of each again to get two more pairs!)

I really like the flat front look and glass lens of the Hella. I used the bulbs that came with them. I also have them in my '52 M38A1, my '79 CJ5, and a set in the box for my '69 Camaro. As you can tell, I'm sold.

I bought the smaller high/lows for the '44 jeep and will figure out what combo I need to get them in the Jimmy as well. Great upgrade for not much $.
