Spring Carlisle ?
Does the Spring show in Carlisle in April typically have many vendors with 67-72 Chevy truck parts? Never been before but considering it this year.
Thanks.

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
I usually go to the Spring, Truck Show and Fall Carlisle. If you're looking for used parts, Spring and Fall by far are the biggest events. Although there are a lot of different makes (Chevy,Ford,Dodge...) of parts and vendors to go through before you find the guy that has what you need. If you're looking for new parts I'd say go to any of the 3 that I mentioned. There are vendors that sell new (repop) parts at mostly all these events. It will be alot less walking and other stuff to go through if you go to the Truck Show(Can see it all in 1 day easy). Could take up to 2 days to walk through all the aisles and look at Spring and Fall. Also better get there before the gates even open if you want close parking.

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
Thank you for the tips. I would be more interested in used stuff. Some rusty gold.

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
In my opinion Spring is the best. People have been cooped up all winter... and have had time to replenish their parts stash. So they have more parts rather than at the end of the year when they have done been to who knows how many swap meets selling their parts. Just my 2 cents...

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
I think Friday is the best day. It takes them a while to unload all their parts so early in the week they may not have it all out so you can see what all they have. And by Saturday afternoon they're starting to pack them back up to head out on Sunday. Again thats just my opinion.

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
If you decide to go, please leave some 67 parts for me to get... Just kidding. Go to all 3 if you can afford to and love being around car and truck parts. Their is lots of cool stuff and lots of junk there. I always try to get them down on the price some and most of them will work with you.

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
I've gone a few times, usually taking lots of cash, but for the most part, everyone selling thinks they are sitting on a gold mine. I also went to the Canfield OH swap meet last year looking for truck parts. Came home empty handed because everyone selling seemed to have Barrett/Jackson syndrome.

I am thinking about heading up there also. I'm hoping to score a good deal on a used set of 20" wheels and tires

Re: Spring Carlisle ?
Quick question but I was planning to go, mainly to look at the paddock for a project car or truck. Are there many C-10s there for sale? Enough to make it worth the 1.5 hour drive?
