So on my 70 c/10 SWB, if I cut 1 round off of front coils I should get a 2" drop in front. Now my question is what drop spring will I need to put in the rear so that the truck sets level as possible? Thanks !

4" drop springs out back will be close and and you shouldn't have to mess with notching or adjustable panhard bar. I would suggest shorty shocks up front and relocaters with shorter shocks in the rear as well. Dropping the front with just springs requires a re-alignment.

Get good drop shocks , and springs , early clasics or my choice would be GMC Pauls , he is very helpfull

I used their drop spring kits and shorty shocks on my 70 C10 SWB. The prices are very reasonable. I was told that from the factory the trucks sat approx 2" higher in the back.

I was in your shoes 6 months ago and ended up going with cpp..2 " modular spindles, 2" drop front springs, 5" drop springs and shock relocators and short shocks front and rear..no c notch..I'm happy with cpp

I have talked with a local 67-72 C/10 Truck restorer I recently met about this lowering and drop springs for the truck. He told me that he has always had a lot of luck with cutting exactly 1 round from the front coils for a 2 inch drop in front and he has never had a complaint or a problem with it and alignments are no problem. He said that on most of the trucks he has done he fabricated Blocks to drop the rear. He said if it had to come way down he would use drop springs on the back.

I really appreciate all of you guys input on this.
I believe I will try cutting 1 round off of the front coils first.
See how it sits and then get him to fabricate some blocks and or get springs for the rear with short shocks and or re-locaters as you guys advised.
