valve cover questions
ok so my old set 3 holes: fill, vent on rear pass., vent front driver...new set vent rear pass fill rear driver...
...now my question can i eliminate one of the vents either the one leading from air cleaner to rear pass or the one leading from front of carb to front driver...should i T the lines together....is there a fill cap with a vent line attachment like on f%#ds...any input is greatly appreciated |

The engine doesn't care if you have two or three. As long as one side is a fresh air vent and the other side connects to the PCV valve. This allows fresh air to enter on one side and the crankcase fumes to be drawn out the other side, keeping the engine ventilated. On stock engines the fresh air vent normally connects somewhere to the air cleaner. On a hot rod engine the vent is normally a breather cap.

As Mark said, you will have to have a PCV in the valve cover on one side of the engine and a breather on the other side.

You can still fill oil through one of these baffled holes it just takes a little extra time. I run these on my Caprice. And with a 7qt Milodon pan it take about 10 minutes to get all the oil in. I always wanted to machine my Edelbrock intake to accept a filler tube but never have.
