WTB - 1968-1972 VAn tilt Steering Column

Hello,
I am in search of the 1968-1972 van tilt steering columns, possibly a floor shift, that are easy to bolt into my 62 c10. If anyone has one, please let me know! I've tried the junkyards around here and they don't have any vans.

My zip is 29730, please pm me or email me.

littlemlittle@gmail.com

Thanks
Mike

I've got this one, tilt head tight, shift pin tight, no apparent damage to housing, shift handle chrome is dull, includes used tilt handle not pictured in same condition as the other handles.
I have a new reproduction pointer for an extra $7 & have new handles available, if needed.
Thanks,
Tom

I am interested as long as I can delete the column shift.

62step, I don't know if you can, I know it can be done, I've done it, it takes some patience & time, or it can be as easy as removing the shift handle & indicator housing.
I may have one a little cheaper if a standard column conversion is what you have in mind.
Thanks,
Tom

70 shortfleet, haven't heard from 62 step, I'll have another for him if he decides what he wants to do. I'll sell this one if you want it.
Thanks,
Tom

Re: WTB - 1968-1972 VAn tilt Steering Column

I'm sorry, I need update my original post, I realy want a floor shift column, but I bet they are really hard to find.. Is the wiring in good shape? And could I block off the cruise control hole and it still function properly? (not asking if cruise will fuction, if the steering column will function with it blocked off.)

The cruise control is external (after market), so if the turn signal handle is replaced with an original style one, there won't be any sign of it. As far as the wiring, I tested it and some of it does slip out (when disconnected), but it works.

Also, please re-read my first post.

Re: WTB - 1968-1972 VAn tilt Steering Column

I made a floor shift column out of a van column with the shifter retainer pin hole was wallowed out by grinding off the shifter "knot" and filling the holes. I also welded the shifter arm to the tube while in the park position then ground off the arm.
From the outside it looks just as a factory floor shift column. Jim

Cruise control and steering wheel pulled. After I pull the shifter handle off, it will be ready to ship.
