CL add looking for Norice from Nevada IA
http://desmoines.craigslist.org/wan/4935489986.html
No Rice i believe this guy is searching for your truck, i also remember when it was forsale but knew you had it now. I doubt you have intentions of selling (I know id personally be interested) but maybe you want to give him a call and let him know. This add shows a chevy grill but maybe you switch to gmc? The GMC vs Chevy is a problem too. Tough to replace front fenders and blend the patina.

Re: CL add looking for Norice from Nevada IA
Nope, not my truck(atleast the one in the pic) but the same guy from Des Moines(not the same guy i got this from) that started the mods to my truck did that truck in the pic. he finds ALOT of them. no idea from where all, but puts together some nice stuff.
Was he hoping to buy that or? And Leon, i never heard from you...! lol. your always welcome to give me a call, or stop by if your near ames/nevada. i havent checked in for awhile and here people are looking for me...! it was winter, i was busy with some of my other hobbies. bought a new sled last fall so had to tear it apart and modify it of course. then get it broken in and ride the heck out of it. the before and after... at 160 horse i actually went down in power from the sled it replaced, but this one is ALOT lighter and has HUGE suspension travel and amazing shocks. so i can take it off more sweet jumps... lol since christmas ive had 4 snowmobile trips, of give or take a week at a time, 2 motorcycle trips-a motorcycle trip to Georgia with a stop for a couple days in nashville on the way back(the fiance and i hauled 3 of our bikes down). Then got back home for 2 days before I flew to Cali and hung out in Huntington Beach and rode for about a week with some friends(including one of my Australian friends that id also been riding with in GA just days before) Then a stop on Colorado for a skiing trip for a bit on the way back... its been a busy winter/spring. i didnt even touch the GMC. but its been being somewhat daily driven again since i got it out a few weeks ago, unless im on one of the bikes which happens alot too... as you can see, it was hard to get at the truck this winter... lol i ended up taking over use of my neighbors 2 stall garage to store the duramax in and a bunch of other bikes so i could atleast have room to get something pulled into my garage/shop to work on it |

Re: CL add looking for Norice from Nevada IA
right now up front its 3 inch coils with 2 inch modular drop spindles. out back its a flip kit which measures out to 6" of drop, and the factory leafs have sagged atleast a good inch over the years

Re: CL add looking for Norice from Nevada IA
im currently trying to decide what to do with it. i want more drop...
i could do a c-notch and put an inch or 2 lowering block in it to get the back down farther, or a new set of drop leafs which would also give me a little more spring back since the stockers are pretty soft anymore. and i thought about taking off 1/2 coil to start, on the front to see where that sits me.... but... id like to do bags at some point and then why waste the money on new leafs... but to do bags, i'll have to swap it over to trailing arm rear suspension and swap in a different rearend also. ive got a parts truck with that suspension sitting at the house but it has a 6 lug rear on that so thatd have to change... |
