looking for tire info

my dd is gonna need new shoes real soon.
I've always ran bfg a/t's but dang have they gone up in price so looking around i came across these at summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mft-51216/overview/ does anyone have any expieriance with this brand name?

I hate too stray from bfg since they work so good but i cant help too try

I have never owned them, but I know they are Cooper's "private label" brand sold at discount type tire shops.

Basically a Cooper Discoverer with a different name on the sidewall.

I personally like Cooper tires, have had excellent luck with them over the years.
I was going to put Cooper's on my Tundra, but the ones I wanted were on backorder, so I went with General Grabber's. Had them about a year now and very happy.

They sell a lot of those locally, not too bad for the money I guess. I ran Coopers on our Tacoma a few years ago. Again, not bad for the price but lousy in snow, and they had a rather short tread life. YMMV but I don't think I'll buy Coopers again.

thanks guys since there were no reviews on them i figured i'd ask.
i dont have any expieriance with cooper truck tires but i did have a set on the camaro and it slid all over the place in the wet but they seem too last awhile.

i saw the general tires but once again dont know anybody who ever ran them

With tires, for the most part if the price is cheap, the tire is cheap.
I swear by Michelins. They might cost more, but they wear like hockey pucks, and they have a nice ride.

I've had 2 sets of General Grabbers over the years. They wear decent, ride nice. Awesome in snow and wet, good in mud. They will get a little noisy on the highway after they wear about 50%, but still way quieter than a mud tire would be.

I like Michelins LTX the best out of anything I have ever owned, but the cost is a killer. $$/mile they are probably the best, but the initial hit hurts.

I've never run the Cooper All terrains, which is what the Mastercraft's seem to be. I have Cooper all seasons on my wife's SUV and they have been great for the year we have owned them. Wearing very well, nice ride, good traction, no issues.

I have Cooper Cobra's on my Chevy. The look cool, ride nice, but suck severely in rain.

I used to run Cooper all season on all of my car's before I started buying trucks, and they were a good cost/performance compromise.



Other truck tires----I've run BFG Rugged trails a few times---hated them. Complete garbage, but they came new on 2 trucks I've bought. Goodyear Wrangler All terrains----decent traction but seemed to wear really fast.

thanks for the info guys i'm still undecided.

i had the bfg mud terrains on my 91 s10 and they HUMMED LOUDY and wore quickly but what did i expect driving on paved roads all the time

i didnt hear too many who did like the rugged trail or the long trails.

i gotta look again at the grabbers
