Fan shroud/Radiator mount Question

Reinstalling my radiator and fan shroud. Please note part #7 in attached Assembly Manual pic. I am missing this component. I don't see how it works with the shroud clips in place. Is it an either/or situation? Since I have clips, would I not have that piece? Or has this part been lost somewhere along the way? Any guidance (especially with pics) appreciated. 1970 4WD.

Thanks...

Brad

I'll check mine tomorrow. BTW, which manual did you use to get that diagram. I'm looking for a body manual but not sure which one to get.

Re: Fan shroud/Radiator mount Question

Here ya go !! Looks like mine is missing too. I have a feeling it's just a rubber seal to keep debris from getting sucked in by the fan. It looks thick in the drawing, but may have been made from thin rubber. IMO

Re: Fan shroud/Radiator mount Question

The only time I have seen part #7 was on a BB 2wd radiator shroud. Mine was on a Longhorn.

Thanks to you both...a picture is worth a thousand words as they say. Feel better about my set up now.

Re: Fan shroud/Radiator mount Question

I'll post a pic later tonight of the clip that I pulled off my shroud to see if that helps
