Plug and Play HEI Distributor

Okay so my $69 upgrade on my stock distributor finally went kaput...

thinking new distributor that is stock looking but is hei....anyone buy one recently or have any good ideas?

Ebay has a few that look promising for $75 to $140....Pertronix is likely going to be my choice.

Ideas?

Re: Plug and Play HEI Distributor

I love my Pertronix Ignitor III. Had it 6+ years and zero issues. The soft rev limiter is nice- I column shift my turbo 350 and it is nice to have a little security if I miss a gear( not yet)!!!

Hmm do you have HEI now or points? If points its not just a straight across swap to HEI. There are a few things that need to happen.

Re: Plug and Play HEI Distributor

I changed my points over to a module that goes in place of the points...upgraded my Coil....it was made by a decent brand name company (can't recall the name now) but it seemed a little sketchy when I installed it and it just let me down this weekend...can you say tow truck?

Once i got it home and the engine area cooled off some it started right up.
