ID help with front disc brake setup on my '64 C10
Ok, looking for a bit of help. Heres what Ive got that I know;
My truck is a 1964 C-10. I have been working on the back end going to full disc and all, stage 2 bag kit and new training arm cross member. I am almost ready to move to the front. The front end has 5 lug disc brake setup someone put on some time ago. It still has the single manual master cylinder that I am going to swap out with a boosted one. The truck would stop when I was driving it so I know the front discs work just dont want to stay 5 lug and dont want to have to buy a complete 6 lug conversion kit. On to my question; What is the best way for me to identify what front brakes I have on there? If I can, I can just get the 6 lug version and stick with the calipers I have. Thanks for any help with this and I should be starting my build thread before too long |

Re: ID help with front disc brake setup on my '64 C10
Ok, finally got to the front end and pulled one side apart. Got to the spindles and found it to be 1.475" and not the 1.25 I was hoping for. I took some pics and will attach them to the next reply. For some reason my internet keeps closing the forum and wiping my post. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Couldn't you just measure the bolt pattern (bottom/back of one stud to the center of the third-in line stud for ballpark) and measure the disc width? 73-87 will have 1.00 or 1.25 thick rotors.
