radiator support panel too big?

the 49 pickup ive got came to me with the radiator support panel removed! but when ive tried it in, its 2" to tall, the holes in the base dont match the ones in the cross member, but the ones in the side and top would line up if it was 2" shorter in hight
heres a couple of pics.. if anyone could tell me if its off a different model!

Just a guess, either its for a big truck or a GMC.

My guess would be for GMC too. The Jimmies had a lower front crossmember.

The GMC has a channel that covers the top of the rad and makes a box out of your core support, I think what you have is a GMC Core support
