Leaf spring rear end swap confusion
I read a bunch of posts about swapping rear ends, but with all the variables I'm not clear on the answer for my application.
Will a leaf spring 12 bolt rear end from a 73 K/10 (1/2 ton) Blazer fit in a 67-72 leaf spring C/20 (3/4)? Fit without modifications is what I'm really asking.

Re: Leaf spring rear end swap confusion
I think so. Should be the same 42.5" spring centers, but at least one of the shock mounts has to be redone either on the housing or the frame. Use your original parking brake cables.
But there will be some small modifications needed. Possibly conversion u-joint and/or longer driveshaft. Find a C10 rear from a 69-72 if you want a true bolt in.

Re: Leaf spring rear end swap confusion
The other major issue, if it applies...is the 3/4 ton would have 8 bolt. 16" rims and the 73 1/2 ton diff. would definitely be a 6 bolt and might be a 15" rim....if any of this plays into your plans.

Re: Leaf spring rear end swap confusion
That is it exactly. I'd like to have rally rims eventually so the trailer matches my truck.

Re: Leaf spring rear end swap confusion
And the spring perches will be for 2 1/2" springs instead of 2 1/4", but that shouldn't have any real affect on the whole project. I've got a bed that I've always planned on building a camper trailer out of so look forward to future updates on your project.
