Wilwood Prop Valve Wiring

Just wrapping up the install of Wilwood's master cylinder and prop valve assembly. The factory combination valve had a single wire to the brake warning switch. The Wilwood prop valve switch has two wires. I'm guessing the second wire to goes to ground? Is this correct? Thanks.

The Wilwood one is NOT the same switch like the factory one. It is a brake light switch. You cannot use it like the factory warning light. Wilwood one is to allow you to control your brake lights without needing an under dash switch. This is mainly done in hot rods that are not using a factory brake pedal.

Curious on this as well..... How do you hook two wires up to remove brake switch under the dash??

The switch on the Wilwood valve is a pressure switch. It is normally open (i.e. no current pass through it) and when you apply the brakes, it closes. As for hook up, it all depends on how things are wired. If you lights are wired to need a ground to light up, you would hook one wire to the light circuit and the other to ground. If your lights are wired where you bulbs are grounded, then you would pass +12 volts into the switch and the other wire to the positive on the blubs.

It's basically an on/off switch. You could even use it to run a relay. If you have a factory switch setup under the dash, there is no reason to switch over to the Wilwood one, IMHO.
