Found A 6.0 While looking for A Transmission

While looking for a transmission for my 3/4 ton van, I came across a deal for 4l80 and a 6.0 for $1100.00

They are from an Isuzu NPR..Think I should grab it?

I'd like to put the 6.0 in my '84 Stepside at some point and the tranny in the van.

The Tranny is a new GM with documentation 16,000 miles.
The engine has 125,000.

i would grab it.

even if its an iron block, its good for a couple grand in pull out condition.

THAT being said, throw that LS in the truck!!! the LS is an incredible platform for everything tire smoking, but the real advantage is EVERYTHING with this engine has been documented. having an issue with hard starts, google that ****. need the valley pan bolt torque requirement, its the second result on the search engine. they are super easy and parts are cheap and most of the issues have been worked out.
