Rear sport bumper differences

I feel like I should know this, but must ask anyways. Is there much difference between the 73-80 and the 81-87 rear sport bumpers? Just picked up a nice one off of a 85 K5 Blazer and want to install it on the 73 C10. I know the brackets are different, how bout the bumpers?

The bumpers are way different as nice as your truck is take your time and get the right one. You want it to look right with your front bumper. I should also add that it is harder to get the pick up specific brackets for the 81 and up rear sport bumpers

Re: Rear sport bumper differences

An 81 and newer rear bumper would bolt up. It just wouldn't really look right

Re: Rear sport bumper differences

Thanks for the information. That was my main concern as I want it to look as close to stock as possible other than tucking it closer to the body.
