429 cadillac in a 1989 blazer?

IS there a way to do this and possibly use a newer 6 speed 6l80 or 6l90 6 speed auto

Re: 429 cadillac in a 1989 blazer?

Given enough time, money, and adapters anything will work. I'd think this to be toward the higher end of the time, money, adapter spectrum. You'd need a bell housing adapter, a flex plate adapter, a PCM for the transmission, motor and trans mounts built, and if 4x4 adapters to get a transfer case with the correct input and orientation.
