Maiden long distance Voyage of my CC dually.

Well I took the old girl out for her maiden long distance voyage with her new shoes as a Tow vehicle. I have to say I was very proud of her!! She has 100+ thousand miles on her 454 heartbeat and only used a quart of oil in a 14 hour round trip. Wish I could say the same for gas but that wasnt as bad as expected. I was pushing her pretty hard on the way there and back running 70-75 most of the way. I did notice on the way back that as the temps were warming up outside my temp gauge was too. Got to about 210 so I kicked the aux fan on and that helped some but not much so i think it might be time to swap to an aluminum radiator when i do the 8.1L swap along with some electric fans. My old trusty trailer did just as she does. Faithfully following me anywhere I went with not an issue one. Poor girl needs some new shoes and some fender wells and a jack but she has never let me down. Anyway so enough with the BS and on to what everyone wants to know and see. Took the first one to about 40 miles south of Hattiesburg MS from north of memphis about 30 min and returned with the second. Ill be getting some better pictures later on of the new toy.

Yes it has a gear vendors O/D. It was about 10ish. 400 miles there and took 2 full tanks there and 2 back. that was running 70-75 there and 75-80 on the way back.

Wish it was only 70 miles. more like 700. But it was worth it.
