Found this inside my door??

Heard something rattling around inside my door and found this at the bottom. What is it?

mirror support backing. At some point somebody took off the factory mirrors and let the bracket fall inside. Wasn't worth retrieving I guess. May be one in the other door as well

Re: Found this inside my door??

If you can (and want), run electrolysis on this bracket for about 20 hours (do outside unless you want your house to explode) then dip it into Evaporust for about a night.

It will look brand new. Hit it with a rust preventer, then prime and paint as desired.
