Cool Camper and Truck
This combo is for sale on C"list and I have no affiliation to it. I just thought the 10 foot Holiday Rambler ( very high quality brand ) Slide in Camper looked great. Its too bad there are no pics of inside the camper .

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
That is a nice one. What is really great about it is how everything is almost cherry

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
That is one big camper on a srw truck.. You know it was something to drive in the hills and curves. There is a fine line between rough and cherry .

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
The line between rough and cherry seems to be "almost cherry". I'm not knocking the truck at all. It looks to be in very good condition...almost cherry, fairly peachy, not a bad apple at all. With some TLC it could be a grape truck. I just have a question for Greg, orange you going to buy it? That's a lot of fruit for an olive truck

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
My grandparents had a Born Free camper like this one back in the late 1970s.
I know it's not like the Holiday Rambler in the original post, but a cool part of camping history nonetheless.

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
Yes it does. My mother remembers riding around in the camper on vacations. She would sit up in the cab over part and look out the window facing forward. My grandparent's had a pea green '73 Cheyenne 20 they used with the camper, not the Ford in the picture.

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
Both rigs shown have lifts for raisin the camper off the bed.

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
It's kind of odd that both campers look like they are trying to squash the truck they're on. I could see that tag axle causing getting that truck stuck by lifting the rear wheels. Good thing it has a pumpkin up front.
Sorry about all this, Greg. I have a feeling this thread wasn't intended to go quite this way. Hey, at least no one is bashing it.

Re: Cool Camper and Truck
As long as we're off topic, here is a homebuilt camper I saw in Arizona a couple years ago. Same concept as the Born Free pictured in the post above.
