Bed floor repaired

I posted some pictures a few months ago showing what my bed looked like when I started fixing it, but the search function isn't working so here's the before:









And here it is after I fixed it and sprayed in a rattleguard bedliner.







I used 2x3 rectangular tubing for the main cross piece, 3/4x3/4 for the few smaller pieces, and a patch panel I got from Chevy Duty. Took quite a few hours to get all of the old nasty stuff out, and weld the new pieces in. The bedliner was pretty easy to spray in though.

Nice work and that rattlegaurd looks like good stuff how did it go on smooth or was it a hassle. I will also be interested if it stands up or fades like some others

It was messy to put on, but pretty easy. I cleaned out the bed, degreased it, sanded it (to give it "bite"), and then blew out the dust. Also had to tape off the entire truck. I'm happy with it. I talked to the owner of the company about getting custom green tint to match my truck from the paint store, and he was concerned about it fading if there was too much white in it, so it I took it as if this shouldn't fade, I guess we'll see.

It was $150, so I got my aircompressor and rattleguard kit to do it myself for about what it would have cost for a rhino liner.

I'm gonna have to attempt the same thing soon. I will probably take out that d@mn plastic bedliner this weekend to see how bad it really is. I know my supports are pretty bad too. I may just have to look into something like you did.
