Another Ebay find
So a recent thread got me looking in different places for a carb and intake. Why this came up, I'm not sure, but wow!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-235-26...-/151743922374 Not my listing, or anyone I know.

But, Hey, shipping's only $97. Besides, the font's more pink than red.

Re: Another Ebay find
I cannot imagine strapping that to any straight six of older vintage...especially the non-pressurized stuff. At least they warn us that it wouldn't be wise on a 216! I don't think its wise on much!!
I can just imagine bolting that to a nearly 70 year old block backed by a nearly 70 year old closed drivetrain and trying to stop it with nearly 70 year old brake technology! I'm sure my Hagerty agent would have some serious questions when that accident happened!!!

Re: Another Ebay find
Funny, that stuff actually looks pretty good. Guy apparently knows how to run a CNC machine. Probably work on a well built 235 as long as the boost was kept down to 5 lbs or so. Eye candy deal, you'd be the only one at the show with blown 235 for sure. Set it up with a BBC TBI, use a mega-squirt to control the TBI and the ignition. ignition control is critical to keep it out of detonation. With an MS you can dial the advance to whatever is needed based on RPM, throttle position and boost level.
Doing it with a carb and stock distributor? I'd pass on that. |

Re: Another Ebay find
I posted a question to them about the blower belt alignment on the lower pulley.
notice the heavy underdrive ratio of the pictured pulleys? Probably the key to the deal. |

Re: Another Ebay find
that's only a little over twice what it might really sell for depending on how tight the details are nailed up.
Reality will set in for him soon. |
