Angry I'm Mad!!!

The yard where the 68 Anniversary truck was at crushed it this morning. Friday they told my buddy the WOULD NOT crush the truck until he got back them today......they crushed it at 7:00 AM!
I'm sorry to all of you who wanted parts off that truck as I did...or even the couple of you who showed interest in the whole thing. I'm Pi**ed!!!!! I've bought two vehicles from this yard in the past, and they seem to just get shadyier and shadyier.
There's not a d*mn thing salvagable on the truck.....what a damn shame. My buddy called.....neither one of us went down to see it...and were not going too. There excuse was they needed another full size vehicle to fill the load up......give me a break.
I think they get more of a beak from the Feds if they crush older "polluting" trucks. Oh well......next time I wont wait.....I'll just buy the d*mn thing and wait for you all to tell me what your looking for......my bad. Sorry.

A moment of silence........

With all due respect, *I* shudder everytime I hear that phrase. If we don't prevent them from being crushed, they WILL end up just that rare and valuable. Besides, there are some mighty low production numbers on some of the models of these trucks, low enough to generate wide eyes from an SS owner.

it is horrible that it had to go, but like they said before, at least it wasn't REALLY rare, like a 50th BB longhorn or something.

did anyone stop to think about the guy that works at the junkyard? i know the guy personally in town that owns/runs ours and everytime something comes in it is just another vehicle he cant go saving everything because someone might want it or take a shining to it there more money to be made crushing the the truck than what you probly could buy it for from my personal experiences anyways

I was about to mention the price of scrap...the yard would have made more $$ by waiting a few hrs and selling 40 bucks worth of parts.
Don't get me wrong, I can see the yard guy's side too, but a man's word is a man's word...esp a buisness man.

The ppl that like first gen montes should come to cali and buy all the ones here. There are at least 2 or 3 in the junkyard everytime I go in there.
