Armrest ideas

I have a 61 chevy. Looking for some door pull / armrest ideas. Would prefer chrome or polished aluminum but there just doesn't seem to be any out there.

Re: Armrest ideas

Myself I prefer the original arm rests. I haven't looked in a while, but there used to be quite a few aftermarket arm rests.

Re: Armrest ideas

Also the aftermarket armrests (at least the ones that i purchased) were all plastic without the metal bars in them like the factory pieces. I was pretty dissappointed about their chincy nature when I bought them. Maybe there is a better one out there?

Re: Armrest ideas

Well that sucks because I don't even have the originals. If i can't find something shiny i was just going to buy some aftermarket, paint the bottom and recover the top.

Re: Armrest ideas

There are other makes models armrests that work too. I have 66/67 Chevelle in mine. They are not perfect and I think I had to do some rigging in the inside as the holes were not perfect. They were originally chrome base and a padding/fabric on top. So you can get your chrome. These were painted black since the chrome was pealing as mine are originals. My dad has a 67 Chevelle and bought new for the new chrome. It was a test!
