Mine has a goodwrench engine that was blue. Whoever put it in changed it from black to blue. I'm in the process of changing it back.

so goodwrench engines generally have black valve covers, and if they aren't then the past owner might of changed them or they lied about having a new engine in the truck hmmm.. how do i find out if it is a genuine gm goodwrench engine?

Find the casting numbers on the engine and that should help you decode it. Use this site http://www.mortec.com for places to find where to ID as well as where to look up the numbers.

My GM Goodwrench crate 350 came with black covers with a 350/goodwrench sticker on each cover.

my stock engine had blue valve covers, someone might have put old covers on a new engine (doubtful)... my goodwrench engine came with black covers...
