Stock emblems for a 1969 k20 ?

Hi all,

Just curious what the stock emblems were for my 1969 k20 burb? My emblems say C20 but I clearly have a a 3/4 Ton and 4x4. All I can find is custom 20.

The front fender has the four wheel drive emblem below light.

Thanks!

Did you check your spid sheet on your glove box? Id make sure it matches your vin on the cab, then go from there. May say Custom, or who knows? Fender or glove box could have been swapped. You could have a 2wd sitting on a 4x4 frame. I would start there. Good luck!

Yes, unfortunately my SPID is badly damaged, and the numbers I CAN read do not match my door tag or frame (frame and door tag match) they must have thrown in a different glove box. See my previous post about it if it's a 2wd on a 4wd frame (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=678601)

You emblems sound correct but I don't know about the 19689 model. "K" was only used on the Blazer emblems. My 1972 4x4 Suburban has Custom/20 then Deluxe in smaller letters underneath. No 4x4 designation.

Can you post pics of your emblems? Do you have any on tailgate? How about 4 wheel drive on front fender?

I don't have any ready pictures of mine. Here's Jbsweezy's burb in another thread. This is like mine with exception of 20 instead of 10. No 4x4 on the fender and only Chevrolet on the tailgate.

Here's a pic of a '69 I found on the web.

Bigdav160, does your 72 suburban have a Chevrolet custom emblem on the glove box door? I have a 71 k20 (custom 20) suburban I'm restoring and will be using a 69 burb that has the deluxe interior trim for donor parts. The 69 has the Chevrolet custom emblem on glove box door and I'm not sure if the 71-72's did.

My 72 doesn't look like it's ever had anything attached to the glove box door.

Thank you Bigdav! That's what I needed to know. Sounds same as the 71-72 Cheyenne pickups. No emblems on the glove boxes.
