Tailgate Lettering

Greetings All:

While looking at DanoDMano's awesome looking truck
in the previous thread, I got to wondering. I am
in the process of repainting my machine, a 69
C10 Pickup. I was wondering about the letters on
the tailgate. Were they stenciled in white from
the factory or were they the same color as the
rest of the tailgate?

My Dads' 70 C-10, that he bought new, was solid red and had white letters on the tailgate.
I've seen the vendors sell white, black, and chrome letter.. if I'm not mistaken.

You can buy the decals like Jemost 72 stated. They cost about $6 for the set. I put chrome ones on mine.
