Need help, truck almost caught fire, and no longer starts!!
So I went to start my truck up the other day, it started up fine, but after starting it up, a huge cloud of smoke started pouring out of all edges of the hood, and inside my cab. I shut the truck off, and disconnected the battery immediately.
I'm not sure what caused it, and I see no melted wiring, or blown fuses. But now when I go to start it, nothing happens. The ignition does nothing, in any position. And my hazard light switch does nothing as well, although the horn, headlights, and brake lamps work. What is going on, and where do I start?

Look at the wires going to starter sounds like you burned them on the exhaust/headers I did this a couple of times when I put headers on my truck and they kept getting to close even in the stock tube that's supposed to protect them I finaly put a Ford style solenoid on the firewall and eliminated that issue

Something likely shorted as stated. Inspect all wiring to the battery, alt, & starter. "Nothing happening" after an incident like this usually means one of the fuseible links @ the starter melted. They are inline & part of the starter wiring as a safety circuit.
