Fender/Door gap, help needed

So I recently finished my patina build and the truck runs great. Now the only thing that bugs me is the drivers side fender/door gap, it's big. This was a farm truck forever and that how it was when I got it. The door limes up with the cab nice, so I'm thinking the fender needs to come back some. What's the easiest way to do this?

You need to place a shim under the front cab mount on that side. Did you replace the core support bushings? I have found the reproductions are a little taller than originals. Either lower the core support by tightening the mount or raise the front cab with a shim. Retorque the front bolts to determine if you need another shim.

You may need to put two shims in.

Did you replace the cab mount bushings? they may be either squished or installed incorrectly. Front of the cab needs to go up, back of cab needs to go down, or core support needs to drop.

So this is the cab mount, where exactly agouti I put the shim? Also that won't cause the bottom of te can to sit higher than the bottom of the fender?

Looking at the body line near the lower molding, it looks to me like the fender is slightly lower than the cab. Shimming the cab up will make that worse. I would suggest raising the fender by either tightening the core support bushings, or I have had some good luck with loosening te 2 fender bolts under the cowl, 1 one at the bottom of the fender, and the one in the wheel well holding the wheel well to the cab. Loosening these 4 bolts may allow you to wiggle the fender up a hair which will help your gap since it looks like the gap is smaller at the top than the bottom and it will help with the body line alignment.

Gaps on these trucks from the factory are horrendous. I've spent days gapping them at work.
