1986 Chevy Suburban Heat Riser Question?
1986 Chevy Suburban Heat Riser Question?
My 86 Burb has a vac operated heat riser on the pass side exhaust. My question is without vac is it in the Closed? or Open? position. Im not going to be using it and I wanted to make sure that if I simply put a vac cap over the vac port of the Heat Riser that it is in the OPEN position and not closed. Thanks in advance for your response.

Re: 1986 Chevy Suburban Heat Riser Question?
When the vac is disconnected, the butterfly valve remains in the open position. I just disconnected the vac line and left the heat riser valve in place. You should be good to go with your plan.
