Gotta Love the Simplicity
I love the simplicity of 67-72 trucks. Yes, old and rusty parts can be frustrating, and some parts are kind of pricey, but...
I just pulled the ABS codes on my wife's Highlander Hybrid, and it looks like the accumulator is going to have to be replaced. The part alone, from what I can tell, is in excess of $2,000. Big ouch! I'll stick with my simple Chevys, thank you very much. |

Re: Gotta Love the Simplicity
Yea I agree. At times it seems new technology is more reliable. I still marvel at how many old Chevrolet trucks are still around. They may leak a bit or use more fuel but for $2000 I could do a lot to my truck.

Re: Gotta Love the Simplicity
i'm actually getting better mileage with my 69 then the 2015 f250 I drive for work. I definitely agree on simplicity is nice we had to dump our 99 grand Cherokee because the heater core started leaking and it was going to be around $4000 to get it replaced.

Re: Gotta Love the Simplicity
Yep, that's why I'm in no hurry to jump on the LS-swap bandwagon. I'm as happy with these trucks now as I've been since my first one in '73.

Re: Gotta Love the Simplicity
I agree.... While the LS. is tempting me a little for the power and mileage, I dont think I ever would (or could) do it. Heck, I have to get my wife to do the wiring when we get a new DVD player! I just dont want the complications.
