battery issue

I have a 69 c10 and my battery out of nowhere stopped holding a charge. I re charged battery and as soon as I put my headlights on it drained battery and battery gauge dropped instantly. To the point of not starting again. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Re: battery issue

Measure the voltage on the battery with the lights off, and then on to start.

Re: battery issue

Sounds like the battery just died. Replace it and then make sure the charging system is working properly and there is no parasitic drain on the electrical system.
